Ride an esuvee
April 18, 2005 - by Ian Bogost

EsuveeThe Attorney General and Consumer Protection Agencies have created Esuvee Challenge Course, a game that teaches players about key factors in SUV rollovers. The game has high production value and great complexity, and it's funny too: the "Esuvee" is a sort of wooly monster beast. You can also watch the TV spot.

Great site, great CM.

The game however requires Shockwave. The Shockwave installer doesn't let you bypass installing the Yahoo toolbar. I don't want it. Oh well, I wanted to try the game.

Comment from Ian Bogost on April 18, 2005

That's odd. I have SW aqnd no toolbar, but I'm on Mac/Safari, so maybe that's why.

I agree that Shockwave is becoming a bear of a thing to count on for web-based games.

Comment from Joe on April 19, 2005

You can indeed bypass the Yahoon installation, just de-select the "Install Yahoo" option during installation.

Comment from AssParade on March 27, 2006

It's better for a web game to be written in Flash, than in Shockwave... But it is great! :)

Comment from Latina Ass on April 4, 2006

It's bad it does require Shockwave... :(

Comment from emily18 on May 19, 2006

I have problems starting it on Safari... :(

Comment from Brandi Belle on June 30, 2006

Oh, no! Not Shockwave again!
