Israel-Lebanon war newsgames

Ynetnews reports on two newsgames that target Hezbollah's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah.
The first one, created by somebody called Amir Lotan, uses a Google Earth image -I assume that it is meant to be a picture of somewhere in Lebanon, Beirut perhaps? The gameplay is simple, whack-a-mole style. Nasrallah's face pops up and you must send a fighter jet to bomb him. There's a message at the end of the game but it is in Hebrew so please post a translation if you happen to speak the language. Update: My friend Veronica Singer, who served as my very own personal translator on my visit to Israel this January, chimes in and says that the winning screen says something along the lines of "Very good chief of staff. Come back to work now."
The second game is more complex. Nasrallah is shown performing a chicken dance and you are supposed to hit him with objects ranging from toilets and refrigerators to Israeli bombs. Other objects include a dead pig head (something meant to be offensive to a Muslim) and a dead peace dove. The game is hosted on an Israeli domain (.il)
We were just discussing with Ian about these games and he pointed out to the fact that whack-a-mole was such a popular genre for political games. I suggested that it may be because it is a game structure that works great with faces and, therefore, it allows to center the action a single, relevant character. There are also some technical aspects that cannot be ignored, such as the fact that they work with a picture rather than with a fully animated body -and therefore they require less visual production. In addition to this, whack-a-mole games are quite easy to code, too.
(Games by way of Ed Halter's blog -author of From Sun Tzu to Xbox which I am currently reading and finding to be both very informative and fun to read. Btw, he also points out to a new US Army game, something that I am looking forward to playing with soon)

Israel is Targeting civilians
In the last two days over 30 people died in my town in Lebanon, none of them Hezbollah members. (Maybe supporters, but definitely not members) Only one of the houses targeted was a member of Hezbollah and he was unhurt as he left his house early after the war started.
But there are NO bases or military presence in or anywhere near my town, Hezbollah never fired any missiles anywhere near my town...
In the media, it is rarely reported that Israel is targeting civilians, and when it is, it is portrayed as an error or as a result of collateral damage (considering that nowadays, and by war on terror standards, human life collateral damage has become an acceptable)
Civilians are targeted for scare tactics, so that the Israeli terrorist army can score points against Lebanon and Hezbollah when they couldn't do the same against Hezbollah on the field...
It makes you think... there is someone who is sitting somewhere in Israel and deciding on the houses and schools and hospitals that will be targeted ... I wonder how they arrive at their decision, ... who to kill and who to let live... how many to kill today... when should the killing occur...The lives of my friends, family members, neighbors are determined it seems by a throw of dice...
So far the toll of civilian deaths in Lebanon has far exceeded those on the Israeli side, while the same number of “army” causalities has been incurred. On the same front, the number of israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah is roughly the same as the number of Hezbollah fighters that Israel has killed. The rough numbers are 1000 Lebanese civilians to 50 israeli civilians, and 50 Israeli soldiers to 50 Hezbollah fighters. This means that Hezbollah is targeting civilians 10 times less then Israel is... However, Israel has the more accurate weapons and more superior technology, whereas Hezbollah missiles can only be aimed to within a square km of the target. One would think that Israel would be able to avoid civilian causalities, but one can only conclude that Israel is intentionally targeting civilians.
Israeli and the US media are "marketing" this war as a war on terror and that Israel is defending itself. IT IS NOT SO. Israeli and US officials continue to say that Israel is defending itself against Hezbollah rockets fired into northern Israel... but what they fail to say is that Israel was the first to target civilians, and the Hezbollah rockets were a reaction rather then an action...
What they fail to say is that before the latest war started 29 days ago, Israel has continuously violated Lebanese airspace, and performed kidnap and assassinations on Lebanese soils. Should Hezbollah have fired missiles when Israel performed any of its attacks, would the US and Israel have agreed that Lebanon is defending himself!
You are probably thinking... "why does he care what the US media reports?". I care for two main reasons, "1-" I care because when it comes to the middle east situations, Americans are stupid, tunnel visioned, and will fall prey to the lies (yes straight out lies) and grave distortions of reality by Israeli and US media (for instance yahoo reports today that 29 civilians died in the Qana massacre last week while the actual figure is 55 civilian deaths including 27 children)... "2-" I care because Israel would not be so adamant and oblivious to international law in its actions against Palestinians and Lebanese had the US not supported every move Israel made with money, weapons, and vetoes of UN resolutions against Israel (over 50 resolutions).
The conflict goes beyond 29 days; it actually goes beyond 29 years... One is made to believe that if Hezbollah and Hamas were disarmed today, peace would prevail and everyone would live happily ever after. This might true, but only to the Israelis. Lebanese and Palestinians (Palestinians much more so) will remain, as today, under the mercy of the moods of Israel's land greed and overreaching air power. After the peace accord was signed between Palestinians and Israelis in the white house more then a decade ago, Israel took advantage of the Jewish immigrant flow to Israel that came from former Soviet union states, and expanded its settlements on seized Palestinian land after the peace accord at a rate that was unprecedented in all of the history of Israel. They probably thought, "hey, those idiots were stupid to validate our illegal assertions to their land, maybe we should take advantage of this some more before they think we are actually going to let them have their own state”. For a very long time after the peace accord, no attacks on Israel were made, even though Israel was still applying its apartheid policies against Palestinians in their own land.
After writing this is getting me depressed. Anyways you should check this video interview with Galloway on Sky news "http://news.sky.com/skynews/video/videoplayer/0,,31200-galloway_060806.html "

I am an American. We are supposed to have freedom of speech in my country. But when it comes to speaking out against Israel or the Jews, we do NOT have freedom of speech. I am appalled at what Israel has done to Lebanon and I am ashamed of my country for going along with it. I do not know how to help more at this time but I will try to help through the International Red Cross.
Some of us, at least, DO know the truth about the Israelis stealing Lebanon's water and their dirty deals about oil. Do not give up. Of all the people in the world, the Jews should have understood how to treat their fellow man better. It appears they learned nothing from their own history. Someone said, if people still hate you after 3,000 years, maybe you are doing something wrong. Will they ever learn?
